Show and Tell Monday-May 25, 2009

Happy Memorial Day everyone! It has been a wonderful weekend and I hate to see it end. The weather has cooperated more or less, pretty much on the Camelot schedule. Only raining in the late evening. Camelot must be a time zone or two to the east. This week, right on schedule, my tree peony bloomed. This is the oddest flower, it looks like it's made of crepe paper. If it has another purpose besides being gorgeous, I don't know what it is but it keeps up the gorgeous end just fine so I'm happy to have it in my garden.

Isn't that an amazing flower? Hard to believe they are real. And they do have a beautiful fragrance as well.

This is the last week of our drive to come up with some more Hope Chests for Vista Maria. See the blog below for all the information at Enchanted Makeovers. This is such a worthy cause, if you can donate anything, these young women can sure use the boost of having a nice place to stay even though under very stressful conditions in their lives. The CHIP IN button is still active to the right, think about it, okay?

Have a wonderful and productive week all.

Pat

Hi Pat! I have never seen such a brilliantly pink peony...it's absolutely amazing. I remember the fragrance of the pale pink ones in my Memaw's yard...and they DO serve another purpose...sweet sustenance for the ants. ;o) xoxo Andie

Hi Pat,
Your peonies are beautiful. I just had my very first bloom. I planted them last year. I think they are one of the most beautiful flowers.

Love peonies of any kind but they just don't grow in South Texas. So I will drool over yours. Wish that I could smell them, too!
